Dr. Argyro Karyou is a cardiologist specialized in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMR), with experience in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging. Since 2024, she has been a member of the medical team at CardioHealth Center, providing comprehensive cardiac care with an emphasis on diagnostic accuracy and prevention.
She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina in 2013 and continued her specialty training in Cardiology both in Germany (in Gelsenkirchen and Herten) and in Cyprus (at Limassol General Hospital). She completed her subspecialty training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Germany, at leading academic centers such as the University Hospital of Frankfurt and the German Heart Center in Munich.
She is certified by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) in CMR Level I & II, with a particular interest in congenital heart disease. Alongside her work at the clinic, she is also affiliated with OPSIS diagnostic center for Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Her research activity focuses on cardiac imaging following viral infections, with publications in leading international scientific journals such as Nature and Nature Medicine.
