24-hr blood pressure monitoring is achieved with a portable device which records multiple measurements of the blood pressure during a day and night. The patient can perform his usual activities during the recording period. This study can provide valuable information regarding blood pressure and is used for example for the diagnosis of hypertension, in cases of “white-coat hypertension”, and whenever we need more detailed information about a patient’s blood pressure.
